Wastewater Program Manager

The Cape May County (New Jersey) Municipal Utilities Authority owns and operates four wastewater treatment facilities, a sludge composting facility, 25 pump stations, three ocean outfalls, and over 50 miles of force mains and is now accepting applications for a Wastewater Program Manager. Responsibilities primarily include the coordination of the operational and business activities of the CMCMUA’s Wastewater Program. This includes the management oversight of the unionized operation and maintenance workforce. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Sanitary, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college; with preference for post graduate studies in Sanitary Engineering. Possession of a NJ Professional Engineer’s license, Wastewater Operator License, and/or Collection System Operator License is highly desirable. Minimum of seven years experience in the operation of wastewater facilities is required.

Wastewater Collection System Supervisor - City of Lancaster

Job Duties: Plans, directs, supervises and coordinates the operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection system and municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4), assuming responsibility for the collection of wastewater and storm water conveyed through the City’s collection system.

Education, Training and Experience: Graduation from High School or completion of a GED is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in experience, in the construction, maintenance, and operation of sanitary sewers and lift stations. At least four (4) years experience in the Collection System Field.

Licenses and Certificates: Possession of a valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License is required. Possession of a Class "E" certification for wastewater as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection or the ability to obtain certification within 24 months of hire date and/or through reciprocity.

Main responsibilities will include installing our proprietary, cured-in-place linings in underground structures such as manholes, wet wells, pump stations, etc. The employee will be certified in Confined Space Entry procedures for sewer environments. In-shop production and other duties may be assigned as needed. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Qualified candidates must be mechanically inclined and must have a strong background in construction, with a working knowledge of hand and power tools, as well as some knowledge of underground construction. As a crew leader, the ideal candidate must also possess strong communication skills and a proven history of on-the-job leadership. A current CDL (Class B) license is preferred.
