Orland K. LeMay passed away on August 4, 2017 at the age of 75.  Prior to his retirement in 1997, Orland was the Superintendent of the Sinking Spring Borough Wastewater Treatment Plant for 28 years.  He was an Association member since 1974 and was awarded a Retired from Service Life membership in 1999.  Orland served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam.  Orland was also a life member and Past Commander of Hunter-Ligett V.F.W. Post #38.  He is survived by his wife Barbara, two daughters, a son, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and five siblings.

 

Richard L. Spelts of Doylestown passed away on July 15, 2017 at the age of 69. Prior to retirement in 2015 Rich was an operator at the Horsham Water & Sewer Authority for 15 years.  

 

Elmer H. Aufschlag passed away on April 1, 2017 at the age of 74.  Prior to his retirement, Elmer was the Supervisor of the Bristol Borough Wastewater Treatment Plant for 37 years.  After his retirement, he continued to attend Association meetings and was awarded a Retired from Service Life membership in 2008.  Elmer served in the U.S. Army and was the past Governor of the Bristol Moose.  He very active in fire service as he was a life member and former President of the Croydon Fire Company, was a life member and former Assistant Chief of the Bristol Consolidated Fire Company, had been a paid fireman for Bristol Borough, and was a member of the Bucks County Firemen’s Association.  Elmer was also an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his widow Gail, two daughters, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, a brother, and two aunts, as well as nieces and nephews.  

 

Steven C. Swift passed away on January 30, 2017 at the age of 43.  Steve was the Maintenance Manager for the Borough of Factoryville as well as an operator for the Nicholson/Benton Sewer Authority.  He is survived by his widow Sue, and their two children.  Steve joined the Association in 2006.  He was also very active in his community, serving on various boards, local fire service, and civic organizations.
